The students are demanding the removal of Mohammad Sahabuddin Chuppur from the post of president as he recently said in an interview that he has no documentary evidence of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. After Mohammad Sahabuddin Chuppur’s statement over Sheikh Hasina’s official resignation from the post of Prime Minister, advisor Asif Nazrul labeled the president as a liar and demanded his resignation. Meanwhile, the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement also started demanding the same. Nevertheless, Bangabhaban also issued a statement claiming that no record of Sheikh Hasina’s resignation was found. It came after Mohammad Sahabuddin formed an interim government with the senior judges of the Supreme Court.
