During the investigation into this matter, it was learned that Colt Gray and his parents had been interrogated by the FBI as they were a threat to the school. Reportedly, the FBI received an anonymous tip about a possible threat to the school from Colt Gray and his parents, one year before the incident.

In a shocking turn of events, a 14-year-old student of Apalachee High School named Colt Gray killed four and injured nine others including a teacher and eight students who are receiving treatment and recovering at a hospital. Colt Gray was born in Georgia in 2010, to his parents, Colin Gray who is now facing charges of four counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second-degree murder, and Marcee Gray who also has a criminal record of more than 17 years.
